Saturday is the final day of the 2023 11 Day Power Play. It’s a fundraiser in Buffalo featuring 11 straight days of nonstop hockey to fight cancer.
The 11 Day Power Play is in its seventh year, and has so far raised more than $10 million towards cancer research. More than 2,300 skaters made up of men, women and children of all skill levels have taken part in the event.
Spectrum News 1’s Kevin Carroll – affectionately known as “K-Man” – hit the ice earlier this week with other members of the media to help raise money for the good cause.
Spectrum News 1 chief photojournalist Kurt Vogt was down at the ice for the sights and sounds of the event.
