The radio efforts to kick off the 11 Day Power Play Community Shift 2020 began today with Mike and Amy hitting the airwaves on WGR and WBEN!
In the last three (3) years, the 11 Day Power Play has raised more than $4 million for local cancer causes in Western New York. Last year, in the 11 Day Power Play Community Shift, more than 2300 players participated. Players came from 12 different states, and even Tokyo, Japan! The beneficiaries in 2019 included Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Care, Camp Good Days, and Make-a-Wish Western New York. In 2020, the 11 Day Power Play is excited to announce that Oishei Children’s Hospital is being added as a beneficiary, in support of the joint venture with Roswell Park through the Pediatric Cancer and Blood Disorders Program.
We are also proud to announce that clevermethod will be the presenting sponsor for the 2020 Community Shift!
Team applications are now open, and we have received over 50 applications in just two (2) days so interested teams should apply now! Participants can be male or female, ages 11 and up. We encourage all teams to apply – corporate teams, alumni teams, youth teams. Some of our youngest teams are our top fundraisers and it’s great to see kids fundraising and giving back to the community.
