11 Day Power Play Fundraiser for Roswell Park Reaches $1 Million Goal

Aug 27, 2020

The 11 Day Power Play is in action once again, but this year it’s not the ice.

The fundraiser brings in money for Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center every year and it’s already reached its $1 million goal.

Players are trading their ice skates for sneakers for a street hockey game at Buffalo Riverworks.

Spectrum News sports anchor Kevin Carroll even got in on the action.

“It’s been great since the first 40 took the ice, to getting the whole community involved the last couple of years, and facing a pandemic, coming up with something. And I love all the different colored jerseys this year representing all the different battles people fight every day,” said Carroll.

The event runs through August 30.
